Cuffay and Chatham exhibition
This exhibition about William Cuffay and Chatham features resources from Medway Archives Centre.
In July 1870 William Cuffay died in Hobart, Tasmania Australia. He was 82 year old, a tailor by trade and was born in Chatham.
Medway African and Caribbean Association, Black History Live project held two live screenings of “Untold Stories, a history of African and Caribbean people in Kent.
A short film telling the untold stories of African and Caribbean people who lived and worked in Kent in the 19th and 20th Century. A fascinating insight into their lives, their contribution and the legacy they left.
